Natalie Wyatt-Brown

 

Natalie Wyatt-Brown has been admitted to the bar for over eleven years,and has focused her practice on employment litigation, counseling, prevention and defense since 2000. After over six years at large law firms (including Dorsey & Whitney and Jackson Lewis LLP), she recently joined the employment law boutique of Oberman Thompson & Segal, LLC as a partner.  

Natalie regularly presents on employment matters for Minnesota CLE and businesses, and conducts workplace training for employers.

Natalie has extensive experience:

  • Advising businesses on lawful hiring and employment practices, representing companies before government agencies including the EEOC, Minnesota Department of Human Rights, Minnesota Department of Economic Security and other municipal entities; 
  • Investigating and resolving workplace disputes;
  • Defending employment law claims involving reductions in force, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, whistleblower claims, breach of contract, defamation, and discrimination claims of all types; and
  • Defending ERISA litigation, primarily in the area of denial of benefits.

Natalie has been recognized by Minnesota Law & Politics, Twin Cities Business Monthly and MPLS/ST.PAUL magazines as a "Rising Star" in Labor and Employment law.

Natalie received a B.A. from Carleton College in 1992 and a J.D. cum laude from the University of Minnesota in 1995.  After serving as a law clerk for a Minnesota District Court judge who is now on the Federal bench, she began practicing civil litigation.  She has been residing in Minnesota for nearly twenty years and currently lives in Saint Paul.

Natalie is a member of the American Bar Association, Minnesota State Bar Association, and Ramsey and Hennepin County Bar Associations. She also has been active in several community organizations and is former Chair of the Ramsey County New Lawyers Committee and Vice Chair of the MSBA New Lawyers Section.
