Erin Thorman

 

Erin is an associate attorney with Oberman Thompson & Segal, practicing primarily in the areas of employment law and litigation.  Erin joined OTS as a law clerk in January 2006, during her second year as a student at University of St. Thomas School of Law.  After graduating from St. Thomas and taking the Minnesota Bar Examination, Erin was admitted to practice law in Minnesota in October 2007.  During her time at OTS, Erin has worked with other attorneys in the firm defending several whistleblower claims, and has worked on cases involving claims for breach of contract, promissory estoppel, fraud, and others.  Erin also has had experience working on noncompete matters and other employment and commercial litigation matters. 

Erin graduated from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in May 2007.  As a law student, Erin served as President of the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity, worked in the law school’s Immigration Clinic where she had the opportunity to work on affirmative asylum cases and represent detained illegal immigrants, and volunteered at the Minnesota Disability Law Center.

A native of Minnesota, Erin graduated cum laude from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2004, majoring in political science and Spanish with a minor in Latin American Studies.  Her studies included a semester at the Universidad Panamericana in Guadalajara, Mexico.
