Jeffrey B. Oberman
Jeff represents employers and individuals regarding counseling and litigation issues unique to executives and other key employees, including employment, noncompete and separation agreements, discipline, terminations, non-compete/trade secret disputes, and shareholder/partner disputes. He also regularly provides employment counseling and employment and business litigation services to employers, and mediation and arbitration services to disputing parties. Jeff regularly presents at legal, business and human resource seminars and provides in-house litigation prevention training to employers. He has presented dozens of Continuing Legal Education seminars on executive agreements, noncompetition, confidentiality and trade secrets, executive and minority shareholder/partner issues, reductions in force, and other discrimination, discipline and termination issues. Jeff is AV rated by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. He was awarded ECMC Group’s Partner of the Year Award in 2002. He is regularly recognized as a “Minnesota Super Lawyer” by Minnesota Law & Politics and other magazines. Jeff graduated from Michigan State University’s Honor’s College with High Honors and from Wayne State University Law School, magna cum laude, and interned with Wayne County Chief Circuit Judge Horace Gilmore. Jeff has been active in many bar association, community organization and pro bono activities. He is also active in the community. In addition to other volunteer work, Jeff serves on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee for Talmud Torah of St. Paul, and the Board of Directors for the Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas, which is based in Minneapolis.
